About The Practical Pragmatist

We have a distressing shortage of critical thinking in the United States. Albert Einstein famously sat in silence with his eyes closed, deep in thought with the contest of an imaginary or counterfactual scenario. He called them “thought experiments.”

As Americans, we need to do a lot more thought experiments. Too often we are a slave to emotionally driven thinking, making us susceptible to the cultural vultures and provocateurs currently guiding the discourse and narrative in the public sphere.

The Practical Pragmatist will take on these subjects with an eye on history, accuracy, and plain facts. The information will be presented with partiality and lacking bias. Americans need to get back to the facts, and believing their own eyes.

If you are seeking confirmation bias, you won’t get it with The Practical Pragmatist. However, if you are seeking accurate data, even if it doesn’t confirm the world as you wished it to be, this is the place for you. My aim is to bring back the educated center to the forefront of the American political landscape. I wish to make critical thinking the new avant-garde approach to thought.
